I took these shots of the aspen trees from our deck each morning, starting May 29th. You can almost watch them leaf out.

Day 4

Day 5

And while we don't have the "pretty" spring flowers like tulips and daffodils (we didn't have them in Orlando either, so it's not something I miss) we do have local wildflowers that pop up.

Enjoy your weekend, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Beautiful pictures Terry. In Orlando it's hovering in the mid-nineties not counting the heat index.
Chudney - good to see you here. I don't miss the Orlando weather. Not. One. Bit.
We leafed out here in March and April, and we've already had several 100+ days. I love aspens in the fall :)
Gorgeous pictures. Looks so cool and lovely there. I'm with Carol, roasting here in TX.
Great pix. Can't wait to see them in person.
Elaine
Carol - it was interesting going down to the Springs and watching the trees getting greener as we descended.
Maryann--you're welcome to visit.
Elaine - can't wait. Right now it's thunder and lightning and rain. I think only the 2nd time since we've moved in. Cooler temps, too.
Gorgeous pictures, Terry. Spingtime constantly amazes me with the degrees of green there are - each beautiful.
Like Maryann, I'm in Texas and it's just far too 'warm' to enjoy the outdoors. And springtime, while beautiful, made me aware of a few allergies I hadn't known I had.
Enjoy the weekend.
I can't believe how quickly the trees filled out. Looks like a beautiful area. Wish I was in the mountains now instead of in the oppressive heat!
Karen - it's amazing how all of a sudden the distant hills start showing those patches of lighter green amidst the pines when the aspens leaf out.
Wynter - they have to hurry because before you know it, it will be fall. They're gorgeous then, too. And you can keep the heat. Don't. Miss. It.
Beautiful photos - especially the wild flowers.
TY for the reminder about Father's Day, too...I would have forgotten. Whoops!
Wow! That is a fast change, and so pretty. Enjoy Spring and all its blooms.
