Friday Field Trip: Mollie Kathleen 2

As promised last week, here's what the area around the Mollie Kathleen mine in Cripple Creek looks like.

And it's my day at the Author Expressions blog, where I'll be talking about setting.

Cool photos. Do they still work that mine?

It's been years since I've been to Cripple Creek. Your lovely photos took me back in time. Just ordered When Danger Calls for my Kindle. Look forward to reading it.

Love these! Would make a great setting for a book, too.

Fantastic pictures! I live in Texas now and really miss mountains~ difficult to pick a favorite out of these.

Hard to believe they actually mined like that - everything looks to be well perserved.

Pardon me while I go back and look some more ...

Thanks!!

Debra - thanks

Wynter - that's the kind of stuff I see every time I go to the store. Can't get tired of it.

Carol - no, they don't work the mine, although there's still plenty of gold in it. But it would cost more to extract the gold; they make their money giving these tours.

Velda - glad I could jog your memory, and THANKS so much for buying When Danger Calls.
