Friday Field Trip - Africa 2

When I was visiting my parents, my mom shared a few pictures she'd taken on an African safari years ago. I thought I'd share some of them, plus some of my own from my 2007 trip that I didn't put up in my February post. Enjoy.

Amazing pictures. What I want to know is how close did you get to that lion? Yikes!!!

Wonderful pictures. Thanks so much for giving us a glimpse of those magnificent animals, and birds, and reptiles. Is an alligator or crocodile a reptile?

Carol - that was one of my mom's shots.

Maryann - yes, alligators and crocodiles are reptiles. That was a crocodile protecting her nest.

I've also been to Africa, and these pictures bring back a lot of wonderful memories of Livingstone, Zambia - beautiful place to visit.

ME - when my husband was working on his doctorate in Biology, his major professor's wife said that if he ever got a chance to go to Africa, to do whatever it takes to get there. Took a long time, and ended up being my job that took us there, but it was an experience I'll never forget.
