Friday Field Trip - Around the world

First - before you head off on today's Field Trip, please pop over and say hello to me at The Romance Studio blog. Then come back, grab some coffee and enjoy today's pictures.

Mark Danielson, a future guest blogger included a slew of pictures with his post. Way too many for a guest slot, but he agreed to share them for a Friday Field Trip.Mark is an airline pilot and has covered a lot of ground over his career. I'll open the comments to folks who want to identify (or try) the locations of the shots he's sharing this week.

Great shots! As for where they are...well...I don't do the "blue" ones!

Thanks for your comments. Maybe I'll Mark to identify them later. I'm a 'if it's pretty, I can enjoy it without knowing what it is' kind of person.

The fist one makes me think of France and the second to the last one makes me think of Amsterdam But they are totally WAG:)

I'm especially drawn to the pictures of places that look cooler than North Carolina is right now... :)

Here are the locations to the photos:
1. Domaine De Chantilly, north of Paris
2. Agra Fort, India (opposite side of river from the Taj Mahal)
3 and 6. Singapore
4. Dubai
5. Penang (Malaysia)
7. Going into Monterey, Mexico

With the exception of Chantilly, all stay rather warm year round. Dubai is 120+ F this time of year. All have great things to offer in scenery and culture. I'm blessed to have seen them all.

Gorgeous! I'm glad I'm not in Dubai - even if it is beautiful - 120??? Yikes!

Thanks to everyone for stopping by. The good news: We have kitchen counters and a functioning kitchen sink, and the water is hooked up to the fridge so we can get ice and water from the dispenser. The not as good news: water hookups aren't done in the bathrooms, so still only 1 small sink downstairs. The sinks are set, just not plumbed. And the stove isn't hooked up either. The contractor says it should be done Monday.

Dubai is actually a very interesting place -- just not the best location to go in the summer. Europeans love visiting there in the winter because of its attractions and mild temperatures. I've been when it's in the 70s and it was also in the 70s when I visited the Taj Mahal in November. I always recommend checking out the weather patterns before planning an overseas trip. As for me -- I go whenever they tell me to go:)

Gorgeous photos< Mark. I couldn't identify any of them except the first. Took a chateau bus tour with the family many years ago and Chantilly was on the list.
