Release Day and More

Today is the "official" release day for When Danger Calls. However, writing for a small press that targets the library market isn't quite the same as having a book release day for a mass market title with one of the 'big guns' in publishing.


Due to the snafu mentioned in an earlier post, I don't even have my author copies to hold in my hand. But, the book is available for order, and any bookstore should be able to get it for you if you aren't into the on-line shopping thing. Best deal for everyone in this economy? Go to your library and ask them to order it for you. Everyone can win.

Now for the rest of my news ... my computer is back, and the hard drive survived the excitement of the power supply shorting out. It took a little longer because they had to order the new part, and there was that pesky holiday weekend in there, but I picked it up yesterday afternoon, and hubby, my wonderful IT guy, had it up and running. First thing, I backed up the files I'd regretting not having when I was chained to my laptop.

And I'm back in familiar territory with my website program, so I've been busy making all the changes and updates.

OK -- I promised some milling around pictures from the SWAT Roundup, too. But those files are still on my laptop -- so hang in there!

Release Day!

Returning from a stint as part of a task force on violent crime, Randy Detweiler is eager to reunite with Sarah Tucker in Pine Hills, but she’s having second thoughts about their relationship. Can she deal with a cop who gets called away at a moment’s notice, especially one who won’t talk about his job?

Their reunion is cut short when a body is discovered and rumors fly that it’s the work of a serial killer. To make matters worse, the Town Council might disband their police department, and Randy's under added pressure to solve the murder before they take action. Forced to work under the radar, Randy struggles to balance work with a shaky relationship.

Sarah can’t cope with apparently meaning less to Randy than his job. Should she force him to choose between his job and the us she envisions for the two of them? All bets are off when Sarah herself becomes a suspect in Randy’s case. Before long, it’s more than their relationship that’s in danger.

Starting Over -- RELEASE DAY!

Today's the day. I've learned the Cerridwen site isn't updated at the stroke of midnight, and am waiting patiently -- ok, moderately patiently, if I can be forgiven for two adverbs in a row -- for Starting Over to show up.

Meanwhile, there's a new Free Read on my website. Every couple fights now and then, and Colleen and Graham are no exception--even though they're not even a couple yet. Take a peek at their first spat. It's in the Free Reads section -- "Their First Fight."
