Jason wanted to shoot some fall colors, but he was looking for early morning light shots. He and Hubster took off before sunrise so he'd be able to capture what he was looking for. Also--although barely a week had passed since I took my pictures, the cold snap before Jason's trip meant some major changes in the scenery. And, because he's a photographer and I merely take pictures, his are definitely works of art. Enjoy! (click to enlarge)

Love the pictures. I so miss seeing the trees change colors. I thought I would get to see some when we went to Arkansas the first week in October, but the only thing that had changed was the sumac to a pretty red. Is that snow peeping out from under the leaves in the picture before the mining 'equipment'?

Karen - yes, that's snow. We had one day that week where we got 8 inches of snow, but that was it. It didn't last long.
Carol - agreed. We have a stand of aspens below our deck, and although they were late turning (which gave us an extended season), they're just about all done now.
