Friday Field Trip - England, Scotland

Daughter Jessica was kind enough to step up with some images. She lives in Northern Ireland now, and she manages to get around. The batch she sent was from England and Scotland. And, just to keep things interesting, they're not in any sort of geographical order.

Durness Chapel

Culloden Fields

Culloden Cairn

Kersey Stream

Inverness Loch

Iken Church

HMS Victory

The loch is likely Loch Ness, by the way. I'm just not positive. There were many on that drive. :)

Lovely photographs. Thanks for sharing them. My daughter is planning a trip to Scotland this summer so I will send her a link so she can see previews of coming attractions.

Gorgeous! I've been to the loch at Inverness, but it's been far too long. One of these days I'll have to head back :)

Kersey Stream photo is beautiful. The one that is most surprising is that of Culloden Field. You'd think the site where so much blood was spilled would be more stark and dramatic instead of merely a pastoral field.

Thanks for the comments, ladies!

Joan--yes, the field at Culloden is not what you'd think. I've a shot in flickr that better illustrates the "Well of the Dead"...
