They'll shed them at the end of the year and then grow new ones for next year. Until they're fully grown, I don't know how to judge age. (But I imagine I'll be learning)Terry Odellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11610682530545306687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30931389.post-55569539342052275952010-05-14T15:16:13.481-06:002010-05-14T15:16:13.481-06:00That is beautiful country. But even a few times a week is good.

Patricia - we've been told there are bears, but haven't seen any. Not worried about snakes of any sort when it's this cold. We've also been told they don't frequent altitudes this high.Terry Odellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11610682530545306687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30931389.post-4641677151140870202010-05-14T12:42:30.336-06:002010-05-14T12:42:30.336-06:00Nice photos, Terry! I don't know about your neck of the woods, but up here we have to watch out for rattlesnakes and the very occasional mountain lion or bear when we go hiking. I've never seen any of them, and am quite happy about that.Patricia Stolteyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17192369425956406122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30931389.post-52894627267212744172010-05-14T11:42:26.159-06:002010-05-14T11:42:26.159-06:00Terry - That is AMAZING scenery.
